My love for handbags began in middle school, when I begged my mom for my very first bag. What started as a simple obsession quickly became something deeper. I realized early on that a handbag had the power to transform how I felt. Even in sweats after swim practice, carrying a beautiful bag made me feel polished and confident.
That love followed me to The Ohio State University, where I met my husband, Vlad, on the swim team. Together, we built PurseBlog and turned our shared perspective into a business that has spanned more than two decades. Over the past 21 years, we have worked with the world’s leading luxury houses, offering reviews and insider access to the most coveted bags and accessories.
Over time, I realized that what I carry inside my bag matters just as much.
My bag has always been a constant. It holds the essentials I rely on every day, and the pieces that keep me organized, prepared, and grounded. I have always used pouches to bring order to that space, creating a system that moves seamlessly from one bag to the next.
That ritual became essential to how I experience the bags I carry.
M+V Accessories was born from that idea.
Not to fill a gap, but to create something personal. After more than two decades immersed in this world, I wanted to take what I have learned and design something of my own. Something that reflects my perspective, my standards, and the way I experience the pieces I carry every day. Something I could finally put my name behind.
For me, pouches are intimate. They hold the small, essential parts of our daily lives, the things we reach for without thinking. I wanted to create something simple, refined, and luxurious enough to elevate even the smallest essentials.
Each pouch in this limited run is handcrafted in New York City using Italian leather and custom Italian zippers. Every detail is considered, rooted in the belief that the items that protect our belongings should feel just as special as what they hold.
M+V Accessories reflects that philosophy.
It is about more than what we carry. It is about what those items mean to us. The essentials that ground us, the pieces we rely on without thinking, and the small things that bring comfort, reassurance, and a sense of control throughout the day.
Because true luxury is not only in what we carry. It is in how it makes us feel.
With love,
Megs
P.S. M + V is named after the initials that mean the most to me. Mine, my husband Vlad's, and our children, Millie and Vaughn. Our logo combines the M and V to form a heart, a small reminder that the things we carry are often the things we love most.
